The Desert Journal office in Truth or Consequences was the target of a drive-by shooting in October 1998 - the bullet entered through a front window and landed in the wall just above Editor Bill Johnson's desk.

Justice did NOT prevail in this case 100 percent although the driver accepted the fall for the real shooter.
