Theatrical Spoken Word Performance
Pooling a variety of skills and creating convincing soundscapes to accompany her words, Perciphone uses enchanting lines - beguiling and palatable - weaving their way in and out of the cold hard truths often being projected. From surreality to social dysfuntion - sexuality to empathy, fairytales to self harm, Perciphone Petticoat often flirts on a rather risque edge. However, pertinent subjects delivered graphically, are often skillfully tempered according to musicality and backing sounds: allowing ideas that would otherwise be unpallatable - to be considered. This is no ordinary show. Witness Perciphone morph into different characters again and again - earning her the reputation of 'Chameleon' and keeping us transfixed and intrigued as to what we will be confronted with next.

Education
Perciphone's shows highlight everyday issues plaguing our lives and provide an opportunity to examine our own ideas and feelings with an view to transcending them through discussion and workshops. 'Niche' workshops are held subject to demand and are aimed to support those wishing to perform their own truths, whatever they may be. Often an avenue for the expression of deeply emotive issues, spoken word is becoming increasingly popular as relatively free speech and performance, are fused into one. Although backing tracks are now frequently used to accompany poetry, lacking the sensationalism of TV and the theatrics of playhouses, performance poetry often delivers a much clearer and more succinct message, leaving the performer to create the environment and the content. Perciphone's 'Niche' spoken word workshops are full of enthusiasm, as she shared techniques for taking personal performance onto the stage. Using these techniques, pre-performance nerves are severely diminished, if not eradicated altogether, leaving the performer to focus on expression and enjoyment. These workshops are for all levels of experience, from those inquiring for the first time, to those already performing, wishing to take it up a level.
