King and I became a team in september of '09. Nothing ever came easy for us. We really struggled to get to know each other. I couldn't even get him to hold the canter for three months, let alone jump anything! He was green, only being in real training for nine months, as am I, so we had our work cut out for us. There was much discouragement and many tears, but we never gave up and we never will. King was probably not the most suitable first horse for me, but everything happens for a reason. He not only made me a stronger rider, but also a stronger person. I love my Kingaroo more than anything.
We event all around CA (area VI) at the training level! Eventing with mr. Kingo is definitely not the easiest but it has been so rewarding and tons of fun. This season has gone extremely well for us, and exceeded my expectations by far. All of our hard work as finally started to pay off. Out of the 6 events we competed in, we won 5 and came in second in the other. Astonishing how if you endeavor toward a goal, you can obtain it, no matter how implausible it may seem. After the gratifying culmination of our fantastic season at State Championships, it was decided that Kingo really deserved the time off and we there was no need to push him. We will look into moving up to Prelim after another training the beginning of next season (= I'm so so lucky to have such an amazing horse to compete with, I hope we will have many, many years together!! I have to say, I really have the most fantastic trainers on the planet. I owe basically all of our progression to my main trainer, Joe (who originally trained King). He never gave up on us, and he gave me the fantastic opportunity to be his working student which really benefitted King and I. He's always there for us and really knows what he's doing. Of course, neither King or I would be where we are if it wasn't for our other trainer Cory, and our dressage trainer Lindsay. I'm so fortunate to have such amazing trainers!
love you King!!

New horsey? Well kinda. Recently yall probably have noticed that super cute black pony in some of my videos. He was originally my sister's horse, but she doesn't ride anymore (because of a riding accident) so I'm now riding/competing him as well!!

He's a ton of fun, by far the most fun horse I've ever jumped. Not the best dressage though. Kody has a lot to learn, but he tries super hard and gets better every day. Really excited to work with him!
