About Me:

Pennsylvania, or Prudence Birkesson, is the second of America's 50 states. Along with her twin brother Delaware, she was founded by Sweden, though fighting between him, England, and the Netherlands quickly pushed him out. After that, Delaware and Pennsylvania were seperated, and Germany came in as a kind of surrogate parent to her. She is still greatly influenced by Germany and Sweden, though she has barely seen Sweden since her colonization and is too nervous to approach him. She has a very rich cultural herritage, and used to be the cultural center of the US, an acheivement she strives to get back.

Pennsylvania is a very hardy, outdoorsy type. She loves hunting and fishing and makes it part of her routine to get involved in her state's forestry and natural research branches. She has other interests that seem to contridict this tomboyish nature, though, like sewing, writing, painting, and baking. She especially has a weakness for all things chocolate, and is said to love hot fudge sundaes. Because of her Quaker and Amish roots, Pennsylvania is a pacifist, but often found herself pulled into the fighting of her younger brothers and sisters. She is often quiet and thoughtful, always worried about treading on peoples' toes or offending others.
