Elder Paisios in his dorter on mount Athos, on the wall had a prophecy of prophet Daniel about Great Alexander wich call him -King of Greeks-.
In front of that prophecy there was the bios of the prophit wich ends with the attestation of the historic Iosopous that the above prophicy given by the archpriest Iaddous to King Alexander when he went to Jerusalim.
That prophecy described the action, the captures even the split-up of the empire of Alexander. All these have been prophited centuries before the birth of Alexander the Great.
Elder Paisios said that there is no biger proof about the hellenic origination of Macedonia and Great Alexander than the theopneustic text of Old Testament.

Ο Γέροντας Παΐσιος στο αρχονταρίκη του στο Άγιο Όρος είχε κρεμασμένη μιά φωτυπία με μεγάλα γράμματα. Ήταν η προφητεία του προφήτη Δανιήλ για το Μέγα Αλέξανδρο πού τον αποκαλούσε -Βασιλέα τών Ελλήνων-. Μπροστά από την προφητεία υπήρχε σύντομος βίος του προφήτη, που κατέληγε στη μαρτυρία του ιστορικού Ιώσηπου ότι την παρα πάνω προφητεία προσέφερε ο Αρχιερέας Ίαδδος μαζί με πλήθους ιερέων των Εβραίων στο Βασιλέα Αλέξανδρο, όταν πήγε στην Ιερουσαλήμ.Η προφητεία περιέγραφε τη δράση, τις κατακτήσεις αλλά και τη διάσπαση του κράτους του Αλεξάνδρου, μετά το θάνατό του.Όλα αυτά προφητεύθηκαν αιώνες πριν τη γέννηση του Μεγάλου Αλεξάνδρου.Ο Γέροντας Παΐσιος είπε οτι δεν υπάρχει μεγαλύτερη απόδειξη για την Ελληνικότητα της Μακεδονίας και του Μεγάλου Αλεξάνδρου, από το θεόπνευστο κείμενο της Παλαιάς Διαθήκης.*
