About Me:
I was born in Sheffield Yorkshire just before WW2 and lived through the blitz & the bombs, brought up in the moving business and the antique trade. My father was a great mentor, he had an incredible love of people from all walks of life and a child like wonder that never left him. A gentle compassionate man, he should have been a great artist but he had to make a living. When I left school @ 15 he bought me my first business an old fashioned sweet shop. Cadburys sent me to Bourneville for a whole month to learn the business. Over time I have had 11 business's some my own, others with my husband.
Because of my dads influence I wanted to be an artist and go to art school, but when I took the 11 plus exam I failed the written exam because I was dyslexic. I married my childhood sweetheart, we had a love that couldn't be denied. We had a wonderfully colourful jigsaw puzzle of a life and 4 great children. Now I'm a so called artist.... self taught , plus ex antique trader, ex VIP move Co-ordinator/ overseas moving company , concrete art artisan, writer of a social family history book that is now in the archives in Sheffield since 2001...
I strongly believe Love is All.. If we all love our neighbour the world would be a much better place.... if we have that & gave it unconditionally without judging anyone, life can be so sweet. I hate violence, harsh words, name calling, cruelty and bullying of any kind. The Bravest person I ever knew was my late Daughter Elizabeth she died @ 50... I will protect the wildlife in my forest from hunters. I will stand up to injustice and disrespect for all.
I intend to open my Fenelon Falls Studio on Dec 11th this year, first time in 17 years ( I was 24/7caregiving and writing a book and makin' tonnes of gobbo ( Concrete )
Now I am a Solitarian, love that word. living in a humble cabin where love is is everywhere, it must be in the walls cus strangers can feel it... All my life I have connected with earth angels I don't know if they are the magnet or I am. I love this YT circle of kindness and love... Seize the day my friends. Love Ann
