Australian 80s Electronic Pop Band The Reels, take elements of post/punk & new wave mix that in a blender with fine arrangements and you'll get a glimpse of this quirky and brilliant band.
Layers of melodic of electronic sounds on early Korg mono synths and multi-timbrel poly synths. Syncopated rhythms of post punk/ska/pop/disco mixed with intricate melodic arrangements made this band totally unique.
Amongst their own originals were covers of Burt Bacharach, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Jim Reeves and many others not recorded. The 1st album, a classic, can be found only on vinyl on ebay the 2nd Album 'Quasimodo's Dream' has been re-released on CD.
