hi Paule - i can't seem to post my response to you there, so here goes -- i'm sure that rituximab has contributed tremendously to better prognosis in many patients with B-cell lymphoma and there seems to have been a case where 'the drug even worked better in a subsequent try than in previous tries' for some unknown reason but i tend to doubt the drug alone can eliminate relapse forever. developing monoclonal antibodies (esp anti-idiotype ones) are difficult due to production cost or immunogenicity concerns of the mAbs themselves as they are derived from mouse cell lines. so targeting antigens is not all that easy i reckon. -- anyway, take care and cheers! mika
