Why is it that manufacturers don't make Pot Grabbers with a Longer Handle, or at least provide a provision, (such as a metal "D" ring), to ones; that would enable the camper to fashion a stout wooden stick to make the Pot Grabber safer to use on an open fire?

New Jersey native; used to work and live in northern NJ(24yrs). Did stint in USN; deliberately positioned myself/stationed mostly in the Far East and West side of the US. Retired from military in Pacific Northwest of Washington state; worked there seven years as a civilian out the ship-yard, doing general maintenance for Navy Barges.
