Kelly Buckley is a professional bagpiper who is currently residing in the Niagara Region. Kelly first started as a Highland dancer at the age of six, and progressed to playing the bagpipes in the early 1970's. She competed in solo competitions all the way to the Open / Professional level throughout Canada and the USA, acquiring several awards including North American Championship and Champion Supreme.

Since then, Kelly has piped at numerous weddings, funerals, various social events, concerts, benefits, and for Highland dancers.

Dancing and piping gave Kelly the opportunity to compete, perform and instruct in Michigan, California, Nevada, Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Georgia, New York, Nova Scotia, PEI, Quebec, throughout Ontario and ultimately in Scotland. She has retired from competition and has expanded her involvement in performance and instruction.

In addition to the Highland bagpipes, Kelly plays the Small Walsh Pipes and various Irish whistles, which may be used as an alternative to the Highland Bagpipes during a time where a quiet musical interlude is preferred.
