It is a CNC! In a pinch you can blast the bit with compressed air as you cut. It would blast fine MDF dust everywhere though which is bad but a smoking and broken bit is bad too. I've seen bit's brake in a CNC before. I like how I can understand this project for now, at least till you go back...
