This is My quest to answer a simple question...
What does an American look like?

it will take me 10 years to complete, in which time I will attempt to break 4 world records, and with your help, see 50 million faces from ten thousand feet...

Let me explain
.
The Picture America project is a record breaking visual representation of the national census that is taken once every ten years. This project will be the world's largest full color photo mosaic of American faces that will truly display our nation's diversity of culture. This project will show, through the use of composite picturing, an enormous printed mosaic of American faces set in the shape of America, that when viewed by helicopter, will reveal the world's largest piece of art called, "The true face of America."

This astonishing Mega-collage will be a super massive composite photo mosaic image set in the shape of America, which will be printed on canvas, with each picture submitted and arranged by its location, with no alterations, all in order to assemble a map that will be the largest montage of human faces ever created.
This will be like a group photo of at least 50 million family members.
That's the largest group photo in the world!

The real mystery is what image all the faces will form once they are put together in a single mosaic. Will this Rorschach style of billions of colors from the 50 million face photos form a picture? What will result from having each photo arranged by its location? What will be the true face of America? Will it be something more than just a mass of colors in the shape of our country? Or could it be something more? We won't know until it is completed. However, for the first time in our history, we will have a chance to see America live, in all its colorful glory? Not an individual face but a camouflage of color; the very fabric of our nation laid out before us...

Could this finally allow us to get a grasp on the melting pot that is our culture? Well, that's up to you now isn't it...?

The goal is to collect a minimum of 50,000,000,000 photographs of American faces that once collected, will be actually printed and set as a mosaic of wallet size photos arranged by location in the shape of our country forming a "map" of American faces. We will roll out this canvas then take aerial photos to see what the American "People" really look like. I hope to have it completed by 12-02-2021. (That's 10 years just like the census...) But you have to make this happen! I need face photos or group photos and the location it was taken. (City and state)
All photos are donated in order to form the world's largest piece of artwork and are freely submitted in an attempt to break 4 world records.

"The true face of America." will also attempt to set the record for "1st visual census of the United States ever taken. (Unofficial and non-governmental)"
You may submit a photo anonymously; however, if you would like to be included in the credits of the record when w attempts it we will need your name. If not then all I need is a face and a location for placement. I don't need addresses but don't generalize your location. if you are from some little town then put that name. Not the big city everyone has heard of that is close by. I don't need emails or credit cards and I won't a phone number for calling so no worries. You can be as anonymous as you would like. The project is secure and no information (e.g. names or locations) is released until the publishing of the record and then only for the record should we set it.
