The crucifixion of Jesus for our sins is an immoral act in and of itself. It is called scapegoating. The eastern desert tribes used this superstitious act to cleans their village of petulance or other misfortune thrown their way by a vengeful god. The ritual consisted of placing the collective sins of the people onto a goat, then forcing the animal to go into the desert to die, thus freeing the frightened of their sin. Holding someone responsible for the acts committed by others, is twisted and evil. This is not divine.
