The problem I have is that with adult shows, it's fine to have a slanted view, but here we're teaching our children something without properly representing both sides of an argument. It's a very 'But you don't understand' film. Everyone assumes it;s good just because it's got the most tragic subject matter, and therefore it's happy ending is the happiest. But it's not that good.

You know, I got thinking. Why does everyone make fun of Christian Bales Batman voice, if no one makes fun of Jackie Earle Kennedy's Rorschach voice? I mean, the argument can be made that they both sound like cancer patients, but also that it's about anonymity.

Even though I want Gwen Stacy in this movie I can't help but think that Emma Stone would've been the perfect Mary Jane. Though she'll be damn good as Gwen (Vultress was all Sony's idea and I'm only defensive because of The Evil Dead).

I recommend to you, good sir, for good teen monster movie purposes: Ginger Snaps. First one's an allegory for how puberty sucks and has to do with sex. Second one is amusing. Third is, well, better than any of Twilight at least.

You know what the hugest mind fuck is? When you watch Smallville and Kyle Gallner has a cheery comic relief character. Shit, I just admitted I watched Smallville.

I love how Michael is subtly sitting up straighter and straighter and not twisting his mouth up as much throughout the movie. It's such a nice subtle thing and it makes me wonder why rotten tomatoes gives this a 49.
