This channel was created by me, PandaH8R, on June 3rd, 2010. I have always hated pandas, but on this particular day, I decided enough was enough. Instead of passively sitting back and allowing pandas to continue their meaningless existence, it was time to stand up and take action. It was time to create the Panda Hating Network.

The members of the Network are listed in my Friends module. Since its creation, the Panda Hating Network has been growing quickly. Not only are the members numerous, but they are also very diverse. In this network, there is a comedian with a PhD in Evolutionary Biology, a member of trolling royalty, and even a music producer. Although we are all very different, we are united by our hatred of pandas.

You may be wondering why we hate pandas so much. This is a question that is difficult to answer concisely. In short, there are two main reasons: 1.) pandas are pathetic and 2.) pandas negatively impact in human race. Look below for a more thorough explanation of my hatred:

1.) Pathetic Behavior

a.)The Diet

Instead of hunting for food like REAL bears do (polar bears/grizzlies), pandas eat that bamboo crap. Eating bamboo is a pathetically easy endeavor. All the worthless panda has to do is find a patch of bamboo and shove it in its face. Pandas are in the same family as other bears, and as a result, their digestive systems are set up to digest meat. Bamboo is not digested well. If I recall correctly, pandas only digest about 18% of the bamboo that they eat. If pandas were not as lazy or if they were more adept hunters, they would not be this inefficient.

b.) Reproduction

Pandas have a very low reproduction rate. Mothers raise one cub every two years. If twins are born, the mother only chooses to raise one and leaves the other to die. Also, in captivity, male pandas must be motivated to mate. They are given Viagra and they are shown videos of other pandas mating (aka panda porn). Finally, female pandas are only fertile for a few days out of each year.

c.) Mothering Cubs

This topic was touched on in the last section. Female Pandas are horrible mothers. As mentioned before, if a mother has twins, it will always abandon one and leave it to die. They always abandon one cub because they cannot produce enough milk from their bamboo diet. This is a pathetic reason to let a cub die. Panda mothers should hunt so they can adequately feed all of their children, but we know that this will never happen. You may also be interested to know that the mother's milk has very few nutrients. In fact, this milk is so poor that panda cubs are still blind for 3 or 4 weeks after birth. As you can probably imagine, the lack of nutrients can be traced back to the bamboo diet. Finally, panda mothers leave their cubs alone for long periods of time while they eat bamboo. This leaves the cubs open to attacks from predators. It would be just as easy for the mother to take the baby with it.


2.) Negative impact on humans

You may still love the pandas even after reading everything that I have written up until this point. Many people find pandas to be cute and impossible to hate. However, they are a huge money pit. Many people spend their time and money trying to save the pandas from inevitable extinction. This endeavor is pointless, as they probably will go extinct no matter what we do. The money and time spent on trying to save the wretched creatures could be used to solve real problems, like poverty and global warming. For example, in the description box of a video I saw, I read that the Chinese government was going to spend the equivalent of $50 million on saving pandas. This money could be spent on the 40 million people in China that make less than $175 each year. This situation is disgusting. Some people think that we "owe" these efforts to the pandas because we took their forests from them. However, the forests taken from the pandas were converted into timber for human use. China has a huge population that needs wood. We need to put the needs of humans ahead of the needs of pandas. Pandas are subject to natural selection. If the pandas can adapt to the changing conditions, they will be okay. If they cannot, they will go extinct. Either way, it is not up to us to save them. Pandas must save themselves.

I would like to clarify one thing: I am NOT a troll! Below is Wikipedia's definition of an internet troll:

"In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking other users into a desired emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion."

My comments are certainly not extraneous or off-topic. Some might think that my comments are "inflammatory", but I prefer the word "provocative." Anyway, even if my comments were considered inflammatory, I could not be qualified as a troll because the comments must be posted "with the primary intent of provoking other users into a desired emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion." I can assure you that I am not trying to provoke other users or hurt anyone's feelings. My intent is to raise awareness of how pathetic pandas have truly become. It is time to stop putting forth time, effort and money in an effort to save their species.
