On fêtera, le 27 février 2012, la commémoration de la naissance de Hugues Panassié il y a CENT ANS.
Au début des années 70 il dirigea son fils Louis, réalisateur de "L'Aventure du Jazz". Un film grâce auquel on réalise, aujourd'hui, la place tenue par lui dans l'histoire de la
musique populaire de jazz.
En 2012, le film "L'Aventure du Jazz" sera projeté notamment à LIMOGES (Hot-Club de Limoges) et à PARIS (suite au désir de François Desbrosses, Président du Hot-Club de France).
