Refs did try but then they started trying to offset the cheating other refs were doing and it got ugly. I saw Rodgers get facemasked and then took what looked like to me a punch directly in the neck. he just looked at the ref like WTF Nix pushes off worse than Plaxico's woman when a gun comes out
