I had my first doctor consultation to discuss my lack of fertility when I was 29. On and off for the next 11 years I engaged in a variety of conventional and unconventional methods to conceive. When it became evident that no amount of medical intervention would produce a baby, my husband and I reluctantly stepped off the infertility treatment merry-go-round.
