One night a man had a dream.
He dreamt he was walking along the beach with the Lord.Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.
For each scene he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand: one belonging to him, and the other to the LORD.
When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand.
He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints.
He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life.
This really bothered him and he questioned the LORD about it:
"LORD, you said that once I decided to follow
you, you'd walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that during the most
troublesome times in my life,
there is only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why when
I needed you most you would leave me."
The LORD replied:
"Oh my precious. precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints,
I didn't leave you, it was then that I carried you.
BLESSED MOTHER, BE my GUIDE! BE THERE ALWAYS BY my SIDE! TAKE me THROUGH THIS WORLD OF SORROW, SHOW me THERE'S A BRIGHT TOMORROW!

Hi,As you got up this morning,I watched you and hoped you would talk to me,even if it was just a few words,asking my opinion or thanking me forsomething good that happened in your life yesterday -but I noticed you were to busytrying to find the right outfit to put onand wear to work.I waited again.When you ran around the house getting readyI knew there would be a few minutes for you to stop and say hello,but you were too busy.At one point you had to wait fifteen minuteswith nothing to do except sit in a chair.Then I saw you spring to your feet.I thought you wanted to talk to mebut you ran to the phone and called a friendto get the latest gossip.I watched as you went to workand I waited patiently all day long.With all your activitiesI guess you were too busyto say anything to me.I noticed that before lunchyou looked around,maybe you felt embarrassed to talk to me,that is why you didn't bow your head.You glanced three or four tables overand you noticed some of your friendstalking to me briefly before they ate, but you didn't.That's okay. There is still more time left,and I have hope that you will talk to me...yet you went homeand it seems as if you hadlots of things to do.After a few of them were done you turned on the TV,I don't know if you like TV or not,just about anything goes thereand you spent a lot of time each dayin front of it,not thinking about anything -just enjoying the show.I waited patiently againas you watched the TV and ate your meal...but again you didn't talk to me.Bedtime - I guess you felt too tired.After you said goodnight to your familyyou plopped into bed and fell asleep in no time.That's okaybecause you may not realizethat I am always there for you.I've got patiencemore than you will ever know.I even want to teach youhow to be patient with others as well.I love you so muchthat I wait everyday for a nod,prayer or thought or a thankful part of your heart.It is hard to have a one-sided conversation.Well you are getting up again and once again I will wait with nothing but love for you hoping that today you will give me some time.Have a nice day!Your friend,GOD
