There are thousands of people out there (inside and outside of the USA) dreaming of one day walking the red carpets in Hollywood as actors, singers, film makers, etc.
Unlike me, my dreams as an entertainer have never been Hollywood specific. The mere thought of being obsessed with becoming celebrity and having crews of paparazzis chasing you around always made my nerves rattle. Why live a life making [Hollywood] your destination and falling prey to all that marketing which, in the vast majority of cases, brings up a cascade of deep disappointment and disillusion?
It's not to say, however, that I would refuse to go there given the opportunity. It's just my point of view: Make the growth of your skills the priority. Not the fame, not the money and certainly not just a lucky ride to Hollywood. Improve continuously and use the scientific method to [understand] where you went wrong. You might just see a difference.
One thing I'd also like to clarify is my role as both a philosophical/political thinker and an entertainer. It is my personal belief that [every single one] of our opinions, whatever they be, are a positive contribution to the progress of mankind, if presented in a passive and open minded context. For we would never be able to know what [is] the way forward unless we've crossed out what [is not], and I believe it is my duty to channel the greater part of my successes (whatever the phase) into raising awareness and inspiring debate about certain issues rather than purely into profit.
