Für einen Ausbildungsflug finde ich (bin kein Fluglehrer) den Start noch OK.
Der Fluglehrer läßt den Schüler starten und greift nicht ein.
Die Reakion des Schülers,nachdrücken, nachklinken ist auch OK.

To have 1000 m rope is quite normal in Germany.
Depending on wind and type of plane you will get highs of 300 to 600 m.
Take of in this way is much less expensive the towing by a plane.
In my club (Akaflieg Frankfurt) price is 3,50 Euro.

The reporter says that the plane crashed shortly after take of to the ground and the the pilot was injured only minor; he could leave the hospital short time after. In the original video from free3008 you can hear that the engine goes down directly after take of.
