Paleface is a fun-lovin Folkcore duo featuring Paleface himself darling drummer Monica "Mo" Samalot. They are currently on tour in support of their new record "One Big Party" (Ramseur Records)
About Me:

PALEFACE was schooled personally by Daniel Johnston and discovered in 1990 by the legendary Danny Fields (The Stooges, The Ramones, MC5). He's influenced artists such as Grammy award recipient, Beck, who described Paleface as "a great songwriter, a generous friend, and a big influence on my early stuff", (Beck on Paleface, American Music by Annie Leibovitz). During the 90's, PALEFACE had two major label releases, several college radio hits and tours with the likes of Billy Bragg, and The Breeders.
Record Label:
Ramseur Records
Label Type:
Independent
Band Members:
Paleface "PF" himself, and Monica "Mo" Samalot
Influences:
old school songwriters, old and new friends...feelings that are formed down deep that transcend bullshit...tom waits, bob dylan, daniel johnston, the pogues, the pixies, the beatles, the beach boys, everything in nature + everything artificial, ...floorboards, drainpipes, ceiling noise, ghosts in a furniture attic all aghast...uncle tupelo, old-school country, americana, Great Britain, families, sunrises in the east, sunsets in the west.
Sounds Like:
Tom Waits, Hank Williams and The Beatles in a Blender
Hometown:
New York City
Country:
United States

I saw you guys in Oswego NY. I purchased your new CD and had you sign it. I hope you'll be coming back to the central NY area again real soon. The guy was eating Chinese food the next door down. I am sorry if I bothered you or creeped you out lol. I tend to do that.
