@yellingelk If U talk about Kiss after the reunion I would say; yes they do some stuff for the money. And sure they made money from the merchandise and thier image but wouldn´t you?? Even "serious" artists like Cobain "compromised" to make some money.

Oh yeah, I think they made solid and strong ...

Hearing a lot of songs here I haven´t heard since...way back!!;-)

It´s clear I listened to this album as much as any regular Kiss album..so many good memories

and I still have NY groove on my playlists...also love Rip it out,one of the best KISS albums!

I tried to oove Gene´s album but...not that...

It´s alright reminds me at Shout it out loud..the verse!

This should B a classic, this is perfection!!!

@gothdoll2011 excuse me if I´m not correct informed on this subject BUT in the media, a lot of times they claimed he started the title-the MTV story isn´t something I made up- and sometimes they called him "the kig of pop-the title he gave to himself".

@CaptainMike1968 U´re so right! Agree with your comments....but I do loooove the Jesse Johnson style from the 80´s and this kind of music isn´t played that often by today´s artists. Sure, it sound like Prince & Co but Good Funk just sounds that way ;)

@Htownlove93 Prince is still here with us....who would have thought the bad boy from the 80´s would outlive those "good & respectfull" artists from then???

What an album!!! Back then it seemed I was the only one who loved the FUNK in my town,

in Belgium rock ruled, except 4 Prince, MJ and Janet....Nice 2 hear some comments on this great stuff!

Dave sounds like this since Open up and say....and also on the bonus tracks on the Greatest hits album. Maybe to less effects?? Wrong production??? The music however is great!

The last years I discovered a lot of disturbing stuff about.Simmons on these channels...sad because I love a lot of his songs since I was 11y old. And when I hear this and Journey of 1000 years I just can´t believe this is the same man!!! Beautiful songs!

The vocals also sound like Gene singing....he gave away the best songs to Keel and Wendy those years!!

Gene should have producedeach Kiss album at that time....this was the sound they needed!!! this is still great!!!!

@KISSARMYjf This may be the best Kiss album from the 80´s!!

I remember that people who didn´t like Kiss -`not metal enough´- loved this album,

maybe becaust the sound is really great, raw and powerfull.

Same goes for the Keel album Gene produced, not as good

I remember a friend calling me 2 tell me Kiss was on Dutch tv....

looking back they were really desperate doing THIS!! But Heaven...became a hit so..it worked ;)
