About this user
I love romance anime and manga, in all forms. (I'll read Straight, Lesbian, or Gay- doesn't matter to me, as long as it's a couple. :B) I'm not easily irked by main characters, no matter how over-used, but I still love it when there's a strong female lead. ( Hatenkou Yuugi, anyone? 8D ) Uhm... Yeah. o.o J-rock is my life.Despite what my favorites show, I do NOT forget I'm American and start thinking I'm Japanese. I mean, I grew up with strong Japanese influence ( about 45% of the friends of the family are from Japan ) so I've been exposed. However, RECENT American Pop culture is not to my tastes. (You have to be a skinny, blonde, slutty idiot to get anywhere, it's allll Hannah Montana/Reality T.V./Songs about sex, drugs, violence, drama, and how you want to be a sexy guy's girlfriend) I like when T.V. shows DIDN'T assume you're stupid or try to be NOTHING but funny. (Classic Comedy-- I love Lucy. Yeah, it's nothing but funny, but it was GOOD Comedy. Bad Comedy-- Shows like The Office. Yeah, sometimes it's funny, but usually it's just stupid.) Back a couple years ago when Disney had Even Stevens, Boy Meets World, shows you could relate to. THE ORIGINAL SCOOBY DOO. And yes, I know I sound old. :3 I'm only 16.
Just cause I say that about America does NOT mean I'm not ignorant to the bad points of Japan, either. I just like ranting about what I have and understand more better. :3
