Pacific Dance Academy is a non-profit 501 (C) (3) organization founded in 1992 by Shirley Hadley and Louise Mandel to offer the finest ballet training to all children. It is our mission to ensure that children with the desire to dance are able to receive professional ballet training. P.D.A.'s goal is to give students the opportunity to benefit from studying an art form that develops strong, coordinated, disciplined, confident and focused individuals with good teamwork skills.

The Pacific Dance Academy a wonderful opportunity for students in each level to perform and to give back to their community. Dancers participate in outreach shows and lecture demonstrations. The performers are given opportunities to learn and perform various roles each year to enrich their training and performing experience.

Students are given many opportunities to perform. Students have been invited and paid to perform with professional ballet companies including the Joffrey Ballet's production of the Nutcracker at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. Dancers have also performed at the Motion Picture and Television Home and at the Greek Theater.

Many of our students have been chosen as semi-finalists and finalists in the Los Angeles Music Center's Spotlight Awards Competition, winning thousands of dollars and the opportunity to perform a solo on the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion stage. Some of our dancers have been hired to dance in commercials, television and film.
