My advice dont get a 29r. yeah you get more ground coverage. But you lack mobility. Asuming you are going to use it at highland forest. Highland is filled with switchbacks and quick turns. I would go to advanced cyclery and talk to them about dual suspension. I dont know your whole price range so i cant tell you much more.
