Getting left at the altar, contemplating suicide, the death of parents...not your typical making of a pop song. Most depressing lyrics to a pop song ever. Yet he sings it almost upbeat to a fine melody and the music is so light and airy. Quite a contradiction.

For my money, easily Paul's best post-Beatles single. Sure, the lyrics aren't very challenging, but musically this is a kaleidoscope of pop, jazz, and r&b bliss. The ending part when it all slows down is superb. Always a joy to hear this one!
