We use words today carried with us from Africa such as: Anancy - Ghanian. Mythical spider Dupi - Ghanian. Ghost Nana - Ghanian. Grandmother Juk - Gambia. Poke Okra - Nigeria. Vegetable pod Nyam - Senegal. Eat buckra - Nigeria. white man Kumuna - Congo - African religion Akee - All of west Africa - a fruit. So many more Jamaican words. There are so many more places in the carribean that still use African words.
