"Attitude is Everything..."

First I'd have to say that I consider myself the luckiest Dad in the world! I have 5 wonderful kids and two great daughter-in-laws. My Kids have turned out to also be my best friends. All of them are very talented and focused on being the best they can be at their crafts.

Originally I'm from Kentucky but moved to Chicago in 2002 to pursue more opportunity to play jazz and blues. After moving to Chicago my daughter (drummer) and I were both recruited into a local Blues Band that we played together in for the next 4 years until she was 16. It was amazing sharing the stage with her week in and week out. In addition to that band I also played various community theater shows and at church.

Once Hannah turned 16 she made up her mind she'd like to start her own band. In May of 2007 "The Hannah Ford Band" was born!! It was at this time I made the rather difficult decision to put down my horn, support her in her dream, and take on a different role with this new project, the role of manager. As it's turned out managing Hannah's career, positioning myself as liason between her and her endorsing companies along with being her drum tech has become a full time job. Although we currently live in Chicago and I think it's an awesome city, I can't deny my love for Palm Trees. I'm hopeful that some day in the near future I get the opportunity to relocate some place that grows nice ones!!

I believe there's no substitute for a positive winning attitude and I appreciate every day that God blesses me with. Maybe being a cancer survivor helped me develop the love for life that I have.

Every new day is exciting and I'm looking very forward to the future. Hopefully there's a Palm Tree in it!
