Pitch Black Creations is an independent record label that was founded in San Diego, CA, January 2000, during a period of time when unfair artist agreements and consumer price gauging ran rampant. This created the need for a new type of company that preserved the artist's interest while not taking advantage of the fans who supported them.

Orginally, PBC's roster included 5 artist who came to form the labels first powerhouse group Dark Side Residents. At the end of that year, PBC had it's first full length LP release from Dark Side Residents entitled THE BLACK WHOLE. THE BLACK WHOLE instantly became an underground classic buzzing throughout the southern California area. In 2001, PBC downsized from its 5 artist to it's 3 founding members, who then, relocated to the Chicago land area. In 2003, HIGH VOLTAGE, PBC's first mixtape circulated throughout the midwest, recieving rave reviews from Chicago's underground. HIGH VOLTAGE was another notch on the championship belt, proving that PBC had consistency and an unrivaled capability to change with the times.

In 2003, PBC's remaining artists were commissioned by KUSTOM SONGS, a Chicago based company specializing in hip hop music tailored for special ocassions providing customized music for many of it's clients. In 2005, PBC had it's final release from Dark Side Residents, DEDICATED which recieved over 50,000 views on Myspace in its first month. Now in 2009, PBC is currently enjoying the success of its new release THE PROLOGUE which features the 4mat, the 4mula, and JusOne, its founding members. Pitch Black Creations is a label by the artist, for the people... It is tomorrows's music today.
