If good people stand by and do nothing, then evil will always have the chance to prevail. One just man can change the face of humanity for the good, a hundred wicked men will only stop humanity for a time.

The positives and negatives about Philippines. What do you intend to do about it?
---------------------------------------------

The Filipino people have spoken and voted who they think is the right leader for our country. Noynoy Aquino is elected by landslide victory for hope and better governance in Philippines.

With good governance, it can maintain peace and stability, contribute to better living conditions, promote good environmental stewardship and fight strongly against corruption.

Noynoy Aquino promised to invest in basic health, education and good environment to give every Filipino and its children a chance to benefit in its economic growth.

HERE ARE THE PROMISES OF NOYNOY AQUINO TO WATCH UNTIL THE END OF HIS TERM (2010 - 2016):
1. A government headed by a President who will be the foremost crusader against graft and corruption.
2. Job generation is top priority to realize or concretize economic gains or data before the people.
3. Education as central strategy, meaning the Noynoy administration will surely invest in enhancing the skills or the potentialities of human resources to combat poverty.
4. Advancement or improvement of public health.
5. Enhancement of the justice system
6. An Executive department that dispenses equal justice and fair to everyone.
7. Recognition of farms and rural enterprises as key engines for achieving food security.
8. Anti-poor programs that widens economic opportunities for the poor.
9. A government that promotes conditions for growth of all economic sectors, big or small.
10. A government that promotes local employment opportunities and takes care of Filipinos who decide to work abroad.
11. Political appointees chosen based on integrity, competence and performance.
12. Professionalization of the government bureaucracy.
13. A government that promotes gender equality in all spheres of life.
14. " A broadly supported peace initiative" in Mindanao
15. Allow the building of "Inclusive urban communities"
16. Sustainable use of natural resources for the betterment of the country.

2010 Will be the turning point for Philippines. For better or for worse for this poor country.

It is unfortunate that some of the government officials have been re-elected like Former President Gloria Arroyo, now Representative Gloria Arroyo in Congress, her sons etc. They will continue to live their luxury and lavish lifestyle at the expense of this country.

Real change starts with the people. It is now in your hands.
About Me:

Please support the RH Bill.

Contrary to the misinformation campaign being spread by some, the Reproductive Health (RH) - Responsible Parenthood (R) Bill does not allow abortion and will not force any contraceptive methods on anyone.

It will not dictate the number of children a family can have.

The Bill will respect the moral convictions and religious beliefs of all, but at the same time, protect the unborn child by providing health services for the pregnant mother and likewise save the lives of mother from dying at childbirth.

RH-RP Bill will protect, provide and access a full range of safe and effective family planning methods (both natural and artificial) to Filipinos regardless of their belief and non-belief.

The Bill is pro-quality life for the whole family. It ensures that more children will grow up secure in the knowledge that they were wanted because their births were planned.

It is not against the birth of children and does not advocate that couples stop having children. Rather, it only claims to help them achieve their fertility goals - to have the number and proper spacing of children that they desire.

Under the Philippine Law, abortion is illegal. The RH-RP Bill does not, in any way, legalize abortion.

In fact, this Bill will help reduce the instances of illegal abortions.

Currently 11 mothers unnecessarily die from giving birth daily as per latest estimates of the United Nations.

This Bill is committed to protect the health and lives of mothers.

It is committed to reduce maternal deaths and infant mortality.

It is committed to save babies.

Tomorrow starts today! We can light the torch of freedom again. We are not powerless!

We are Subjects of a corrupt government. We must not allow the government to act wrongfully against us. Government must be checked. Bureaucrats must be resisted. They must be over-ruled.

For your information, Supreme Court Justices are obliged to retire upon reaching the mandatory retirement age of 70, otherwise there is no term limit for the justices. Arroyo's appointees will be in their seats until 2022. CJ Corona will turn 70 in 2018. This is how Arroyo planned it all before she left for office. Protect herself, her family, her loot. Never underestimate GMA and Corona's silence. She will be freed. Fight corruption in this country with Arroyo's justices? Good luck Pnoy!

ARE THE CRIME VICTIMS IN THE PHILIPPINES THE FORGOTTEN PEOPLE OF OUR TIME?

J.Edgar Hoover, late director of Federal Bureau of Investigations, asks the following questions: "Have you ever thought about how many criminals escape punishment, and yet, the victims never have a chance to do that? Are crime victims in the United States today the forgotten people of our time? Do they receive full measure of justice.

A criminal on death row has a chance to prepare his death, make a will, and make his last statements, etc. while some victims can never do it. There are many other crimes where people are injured by stabbing, rape, theft, etc. To some degree at least, the victims right to freedom and pursuit of happiness is violated.

When the assailant is apprehended and charged, he has the power of the judicial process who protects his constitutional rights. What about the victim? The assailant may have compassion from investigating officers, families and friends. Furthermore, the criminal may have organized campaigns of propaganda to build sympathy for him as if he is the one who has been sinned against. These false claims are publicized, for no reason, hence, protecting the criminal.

Poor Filipinos are the victims of our time. Government officials who amassed an enormous level of wealth that they themselves could not explain with their government salary over the years have forgotten that public funds are intended to build schools, hospitals, fund scholarships for deserving students, health care, housing for thousands of families, fight poverty, food for the children, helping farmers etc.

They have taken the rights of the poor people to live and survive.

Their human dignity as the Filipino children and families eating garbage gathered from dump sites and restaurant garbage bins. Each day is a struggle to survive.

The sad thing is, the Arroyos and many others have been re-elected. They will continue to live their lavish and wasteful lifestyles at the expense of this country.

Clearly, Senators are using stupidity as strategy to fight RH Bill against our women Senators Pia Cayetano and Sen. Miriam Santiago.

How can the Senate have intellectual and scholarly discussions when religious beliefs, moral objections, ridiculous arguments and obvious gender discrimination are presented by bunch of idiots?

Please remind all senators and government officials that Philippines is a secular government. It is not just for Catholics but a government for all!

PLEASE DO NOT ELECT OR RE-ELECT ANYONE RUNNING FOR OFFICE ENDORSED BY THE CATHOLIC CHURCH!

Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago proposed that all elected officials like senators must at least be college graduates. She made the suggestion when asked to comment on people's reactions that Sen. Lito Lapid should have never been elected at all, after he admitted that he cannot participate in debates on the reproductive health bill because he is poor in English and is not well-educated. Santiago said a college degree is important for a lawmaker to be able to perform his or her duties well.

When someone from the church commits rape of a child, abuse or molestation, the world is relatively quiet?

Why are you silent on this news?

"BUTUAN CITY, Philippines—Bishop Juan de Dios Pueblos confirmed Saturday that he has transferred a parish priest in his diocese who has been accused of raping a 17-year-old girl to the Bishop's Palace in Butuan City but declined to comment at all on the case."

Church condemns mining but owns shares in Philex
Chamber head Jerry Brimo produced before a breakfast forum in Makati a report of Philex Mining Corp. listing the shares in the company owned by the Archbishop of Manila, the Religious of the Virgin-B, and the Archbishop of Zamboanga.

The report for the quarter to March 31, 2011, listed the Archbishop of Manila as owning 3,221,135 shares in the copper and gold mining firm, the Religious of the Virgin-B with 3,125,777 shares plus another 1,091,027, and the Archbishop in Zamboanga with 1,116,147 shares.

"How can the Catholic Church give its moral backing to environmental advocates in Palawan protesting against mining in general?" said Brimo, head of Nickel Asia Corp. in the province.
