Power Flow Systems, Inc. was founded in 1997. Power Flow's first FAA STC approval was in March of 1999 on the C172 with the Lycoming O-320 engine. This approval was for the very distinctive 'external' tailpipe design. With this design, dynamometer data showed that this allowed the engine to produce 23.75 more horsepower than the factory equipped exhaust! Additional benefits include more torque, shorter takeoff distance, higher rates of climb and faster cruise speeds or a fuel savings at current speeds.
Power Flow tuned exhausts are available for a number of 4-cylinder airplanes, please see our website www.powerflowsystems.com for details.
