People, Energy & Environment Development Association (PEEDA) was established in 1998 jointly by various hydropower related organisations developed by the United Mission to Nepal (UMN) for the enhancement of the renewable energy sector in Nepal.

PEEDA aims to mobilize both local and external resources to harness Nepals indigenous resources, thereby promoting activities for economic development and poverty alleviation.
