About this user
Every year hundreds of thousands of children around the world go missing or are abducted. Some are forcibly separated from one parent by the other; some are abused; and others simply disappear, never to be found again. PACT was created in 1999 by Catherine Meyer to help ensure the protection of these children.
PACT's mission is to fight parental child abduction across frontiers and to campaign for fundamental improvements in child protection policies and practices. Through its advocacy and its research, it plays a unique and active role in changing government policies and in raising awareness of a growing and often little known problem. PACT receives no government money, because it is determined to be a truly independent voice on behalf of children.
