Esta es cómo Santa María sanó a un hombre en Elche de una saetada que le había entrado por los huesos de la cara.
"La Virgen puede sanar, sin falla, toda llaga y dolor."
Como una vez, en Elche, sanó Santa María, la Señora de prez, a un hombre, de una llaga que le hizo una saeta, de lo que creyó morir, porque la saeta le había entrado por los huesos de la cara, como he sabido, y no se la podían sacar de allí por maestría clínica ni allí tener éxito, y con tenazas querían cogerla, pero por nada podían sacarla, ni con ballesta que fueron a armar, porque Dios no quería consentir que sanase sino por la Señora Nuestra, su Madre. Por ende, aquel hombre sufrió tan gran dolor, que Dios os guarde de él, si por desgracia os viniere.
Después que vio aquel hombre que nada podía valerle de lo que hiciesen, se hizo traer ante el altar de Santa María, y se arrepintió de sus pecados, y lloró mucho y se confesó muy bien, y llamó mucho a Santa María; y luego Ella hizo que saliese el hierro, sin dolor, de los huesos de la cara.
Y esto vieron bastantes hombres que la loaron, porque en Ella yace más bien del que podemos nosotros ponderar.

The arrow had entered through the bones of his face, as I learned, and they could not pull it out of him with any knowledge or skill.
They grasped it with pincers but could not remove it for anything, not even with a crossbow which they set up, for God would not consent for the man to recover except through Our Lady, His Mother. Therefore he endured extreme pain, the likes of which may God spare you if it be His will.
When that man saw that nothing he could do could help him, he had himself brought before the altar of Holy Mary.
He repented of his sins and wept bitterly and made his confession and called on Holy Mary. At once She made the iron come out of the bones of his face painlessly. A great many men saw this miracle and praised Her for it, for in Her lies more goodness than we can comprehend.
