As of January 1, 2012 this channel is on hiatus for at least a few months minimum as a take a long vacation from making public videos. Check my blog for updates on this. In the meantime, if you write to me please allow for time to respond since I will not be logging in very much over the next few months.

I spend a lot of time trying to find unique and interesting locations. This usually consists of my hiking adventures, some movie location, or just some place that is a little out of the ordinary. I am always looking for the great artwork done in nature. I go into more detail on my blog. Click the website link above for the blog.

Magna opera Domini. Exquista in omnes voluntates ejus.

Be sure to check out my other youtube channel about Helen Hunt Jackson's book Ramona. I did something very similar to what I do here just for that book:

All my location videos that have movie clips in them are done for context on how the location was used and for educational purposes only. My commentary and criticism of the use of filming in these public locations is protected by "fair use". If you want to see full movies then you need to buy the dvd or watch them on television.

Just about all the background music I use is from incompetech.com. Music is really not my thing, and I do not keep up with what is going on out there. Ask me the name of a title of music and I probably do not know. All I do is spend a few minutes listening to something that might work and use it as background. So, please search for music on MacLeod's incompetech.com.

Thanks for these videos. As someone who has spent many many years in the Eastern Sierra, I especially enjoyed the new perspective of Bodie and Bridgeport.

I finally had the chance to see 1956's The Werewolf yesterday. Having seen your video showing many of the locations for the film as they are today really improved my enjoyment of the film!!

It was a pleasure finding your blog and, now, your Youtube channel. Thank you for sharing your explorations with others. I see your mission as one that is ecological, preservationist and reflective and, as such, uplifting. We should reflect on the need that we all share for private places and for more reflection while not withdrawing from the world. In these times too many of us are consumed with aquisition, consumption and, yes, conformity, and this carries with it the danger of fomenting greater divisions.

That's cool :) If you cycle through my video's on my page, I shot one at Corriganville back in 2008, but mine was all about the motorcycle races they used to hold there annually and has some historic footage from the event. just an FYI

Really enjoyed your Corriganville videos! My dad used to take me there every year for the annual motorcycle races. Good memories!

How far is the idian village and the falls from the reservation metal sign. I have been on this hike and that how far we made it because it is such a long hike. Just curious for next time I do the hike and it will push me to go further.

Someone said, I don't know who, that if you see Randolph Scott's name i a western, it must be a good one. I couldn't agree more with this statement, his presence makes nearly every picture good. There is something about him, I may call it "coolness", everything he does he does in a cool way, even if it's punching someone's face, it looks almost elegant if it's Scott. "The Tall T" is one of my favorites too, I think it's a western and thriller as well.
"C'mon now, it's gonna be a nice day! ;)
