Rome made him a slave. Revenge set him free.
Based on Lew Wallace's novel "Ben-Hur: A Tale of the Christ" and a film remake of the 1959 classic, this two-part miniseries stands up to its predecessor with captivating performances, sweeping vistas, and forceful storytelling.
Filmed in Ouarzazate, Morocco, this epic tale helped land Joseph Morgan (Ben Hur) a recurring role as the original vampire, Klaus, on the hit series The Vampire Diaries.
Stephen Campbell Moore, a 2006 Drama Desk Award winner, costars as Messala, Ben Hur's foe. Alex Kingston (Private Practice) Emily VanCamp (Revenge) and Kristin Kreuk (Smallville) also star.
