Anthony Holston is an accomplished musician with a God-given ability as well as an exceptional love for gospel music. A native Detroiter, he is happily married with three children, and is a member of Greater Mitchell Temple Church of God In Christ, under the leadership of Bishop John Henry Sheard.

A talented and gifted church organist for over 25 years, at Churches in Detroit, Michigan

His first foray into learning an instrument came when he was seven years old practicing the piano. Later he began playing the organ at St. Elizabeth Holiness Church of God, where his Uncle and Aunt, Bishop Clarence and Elizabeth Pollard were the pastors. Anthony began his formal musical education at Ray Daniels House of Music in 1985, where he studied Gospel Music Theory and Gospel Chord Progressions. Consequently, Ray Daniels was instrumental in Anthony securing his first job as a church organist. He later continued his education at the Clark Conservatory of Music. In 1989, Anthony joined the Michigan State Community Choir, under the direction of the late Dr. Mattie Moss Clark.

The development of his unique style is the result of a lifetime of musical influences: playing the organ with Karen Clark-Sheard at Greater Emmanual Institutional Church of God In Christ, her sisters Elbernita "Twinkie" Clark and Dorinda Clark-Cole, Rance Allen and the late Minister Thomas A. Whitfield.

As his confidence grew, his style developed, and this profound influence can be realized via his YouTube Page, www.YouTube.com/Ovaljean. The page, which highlights his musical ability as well as his passion for gospel music, has over 260 videos and boasting close to 2 million upload views. His talents have been showcased in various venues in the Detroit metro area, having played for numerous churches, including: Greater Rehoboth Church of God In Christ, Second Baptist Church (Monroe, Mi) Christian Union Missionary Baptist Church, True Vine Missionary Baptist Church, and New Mount Olive Primitive Baptist Church.
