Affordability & Environment in Balance

Electricity rates are rising. While Texas electric co-ops are working to keep the power to run your lives affordable, outside forces, such as fuel and material costs, and, at times, market-based purchased power, are putting upward pressures on electricity rates. And in Washington, our elected officials are debating the best way to manage climate change. Texas electric co-ops are sensitive to environmental issues, but also know that any climate change increase will likely hit Texans hard. There must be balance.
