These videos represent the sobering voice of consumers who say that big increases in the cost of an modern essential -- electricity -- resulting from new Federal laws would put a hard squeeze on already tight personal and business budgets.

Our Energy, Our Future is a campaign led by the nation's electric cooperatives and supported by its national trade organization, the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA). It's goal is to highlight the importance of striking a legislative balance between environmental care and consumer affordability in our national energy policy.

NRECA is the national trade organization for America's 1000 electric co-ops. Electric co-ops serve 42 million consumers living and working in 47 states, from Eastern Maine to Kaua'i, Northern Alaska to the Florida Keys - roughly 75 percent of the nation's land mass.
