The hearts alter your combos when in devil trigger, like the fire heart allows you to do million stab and round trip when flying, they also come i handy I believe when fighting that three headed boss who attacks with fire, ice and lightning.

So then...it all comes together now, Makarov was there behind the scenes during MW1 before he even became the prime target in MW2...and Yuri was unfortunately riding shotgun with the crazy bastard. It's crazy and ironic how deep the storyline is considering the fact that Price was the one who too...
