Desde hace algunos años vengo tocando jazz por mi amor al mismo.

Como se podrán dar cuenta, soy un gran admirador de Oscar Peterson, y trato de inclinarme hacia el stride, swing y el bebop clásico, por lo que dentro de algo similar también me gustan Nat King Cole, Count Basie, Art Tatum (ése aparte; es de otro planeta!), Duke Ellington, los beboppers de la primera época y el swing, en especial los combos de Benny Goodman. Sin embargo trato de no quedarme siempre con lo mismo y también disfruto tocando otros estilos como el ragtime, el hot jazz, a veces algo de jazz un poco más moderno, el blues, e incluso ciertos estilos del rock.

Pues bien, en el rock obviamente no comulgo con todos los estilos: comienzo con el rockabilly básico (pero hermoso) de los 50 -Beatles de por medio- hasta el rock sinfónico de principios de los 70; a todo esto lo llamo "rock valvular".

También amo las músicas anteriores al siglo XX, especialmente Bach (sus contrapuntos me enloquecen), Mozart, Beethoven y los compositores rusos de la segunda mitad el siglo XIX.

Mi actividad musical hoy en día se reduce a las frecuentes visitas al Jazz Club Olivos, donde he tenido el honor de tocar con grandes músicos de la escena del jazz local (he incluído videos de esas sesiones en mis favoritos).

For several years I played jazz because I love it.

As you may realize, Im a great admirer of Oscar Peterson, and try to play stride, swing and classic bebop, so I also like Nat King Cole, Count Basie, Art Tatum (thats different; he is from another planet!), Duke Ellington, the early beboppers and swing, especially Benny Goodmans combos. But I try not to stay always on the same kind of music, so I also enjoy playing other styles such as ragtime, hot jazz, and sometimes something a little more modern jazz, blues, and even certain styles of rock.

Well, in rock obviously I dont like all styles. I use to play from basic (but beautiful) 50s rockabilly through the symphonic rock of the early 70's (obviously, Beatles between).

I also love music wrote before the twentieth century, especially Bach (his counterpoints drive me crazy!), Mozart, Beethoven and the Russian composers of the second half of the nineteenth century.

My musical activities are now reduced to frequent visits to the Jazz Club Olivos, where I had the honor of playing with great musicians from the local jazz scene (I've included videos of those sessions in my favorites).
