@rolingpingu you fucking dumbass lol, the bromine is the brown gas liberated from the reaction. It is normally a liquid but since the reaction is exothermic it is hot enough to be produced as a gas. And Bromine is halogen, a non-metal it has no metalic properties at all even as a solid.
