My study of Buddhism
About Me:
 
I first became aware of Buddhism at the age of seven when I visited a family member who was living in Japan at the time. My background image is of me with friends and mentors in Japan during my childhood trip. I consider myself an unaffiliated Buddhist. I read many different Buddhist sources and am interested in every facet of Buddhism, Buddhist history and culture. Lately, however, my main focus is Nichiren Buddhism, which is derived from Japan. I am unaffiliated, but have many questions and thoughts I'd like to share and put forward for people. Thanks for stopping by.

This channel is dedicated to a Japanese man named Takashi Ikeda (pictured to my left in the background picture), who was a mentor to me during my childhood visit to Nagoya, Japan. Sadly, I lost touch with him years ago. His impact on me was great.
