Truth be told, the last fifteen or twenty minutes of this film spoil it for me because the crew of the Palomino (with the possible exception of VINCENT) should have died at least two or three times before reaching the probe ship.

I remember seeing this scene (if not the whole film) on television many years ago when I was in junior high or high school...and it stuck with me because even though the engineering in this scene was very creative, it also seemed rather implausible.
