Free online tutorial for the craft of orchestration.

Please "friend" if you want to stay in touch, and subscribe if you want me to keep track of your progress.

I usually check in with my subscribers around the 20th of each month to see if they've posted anything new. And don't hesitate to ask if you would like an opinion on a new work once you've posted it to your channel.

I love hearing what you are up to, but please do not send me a video unless it is specifically about your music, thanks. I simply don't have time to watch other types of videos. Thanks for understanding.

Hey Thomas! Yeah I do seem to have a few too many comments from creationists. They censor science, so I don't want to censor them, which unfortunately means my profile is awash with nonsense.

I hadn't considered the problem of copyright. That's a shame. Rite of Spring is not in copyright any more though.

I'll be uploading a new piece in January. Then my orchestral piece in late February.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you too!

Tom

Hi everybody! Thanks for sharing all the great videos! This has been a very busy month for me with lots of traveling, so I've fallen a little behind in my viewing. But I will take a look at all of your new compositions and giving you feedback after Xmas. Best wishes for a safe and happy holiday season!

Subby - I sent you an answer as a personal message. To the rest of my viewers, I will be addressing this topic in an upcoming series. More details very soon.

What is your opinion of the modern musician, who can write a whole score with a keyboard and a computer, but has no idea how to read music? Just curious on your thoughts. Some of my fave composers cannot read or write staff . . . I learned years ago, but never kept up with it, and I felt learning it hurt my creativity.
