Welcome to Opening Doors 2 The Past! We hope you enjoy our tips as much as we love figuring them out. Part of our journey is not knowing everything about genealogy, but sharing what we have learned so far and what we find out in the future! Sandra has 14 years experience in family history/genealogy research and I have 4 years experience. I always say I'm her apprentice! We have been to the smallest towns and looked at records that are in big books that weighed more than I can pick up and we have done modern research online. We have been to cemeteries and backrooms at the library and everywhere in between. We're finally realizing one of our dreams of going to the National Archives in Jan. 2009! Of course, we'll post everything here! Our other dream is to go to The Family History Library in Salt Lake City. If you don't know what either one of those are, don't worry!!!!
