On the 5th of November, a date usually known for gun powder, treason and plot, sparks a ground breaking release from artists One Wish & Stereotype - who are set to release their breakthrough debut album, A Day In The Life.' The album was written, recorded and produced in 7 days - a song a day.

What started as an experiment generated a collection of songs that range in both diversity and appeal. You will hear piercingly lyrical content rapped over a bold beat on Day 2: 'Mic Check,' the reminiscent feel of Day 3: 'Storytime,' all the way up to the rapid fire lyrics and soulful tones of Day 4: 'Seven is the Magic Number.'

When one thinks of the city of Cambridge, their first thoughts are probably of tourists punting down the river and university students walking through cobbled streets with books piled high; not of the UK hip hop scene. However, there are two men who have a slightly different story:

Liam 'One Wish' Benney is proving that you dont have to be in London or New York to make it big. He has rocked out with indie bands and rapped over techno. Pigeon-holing is not his thing. Eclectic is his way. After already supporting the likes of Rodney P and Skitz, the Foreign Beggars and Pendulum he has recently returned from performing in front of hundreds of people at the Olympic stadium in Seville, Spain. One Wish is also a General of The People's Army, a united front of artists devoted to creating a positive scene. The collective includes underground artists Logic, Frantic Frank and Big Cakes, plus up-and-coming talent Mic Righteous and Kasha. The People's Army aim to inspire and educate with music, showcasing talent at venues in London and all over the country. The People's Army are definitely a force to be reckoned with.

Stereotype is the talent responsible for the combination of soulful sounds and neck-breaking bangers on the project. Working tirelessly day and night, he managed to compose and produce all the songs on the album. He has performed in a number of venues in London and Cambridge and has won contests judged by memorable artists Damage and Ultimate Kaos, as well as supporting the likes of Rodney P and Skitz. As well as composing and producing, Stereotype is also an active freelance sound engineer in and around Cambridge working on projects which involve the likes of Andy C, Skibadee and Grooverider to name but a few.

'A Day In The Life' was written, produced and recorded - from scratch - in just one week, a track a day for seven days straight! And it didn't stop there: fans were able to track the progress of the project through daily video blogs and on facebook. They tuned in day by day as the album was slowly pieced together. In an age of instant Twitter updates and following people's every step, A Day In The Life really is a result of the "instant" era we are living in at the moment.
