About Me:

I love to play in my hair. This channel as well as my website is dedicated to helping to educate and empower my black sisters. Our natural hair is often treated like a defect. I want to contribute to the idea that naturally curly, coily, kinky hair is the bomb.
Country:
United States
Interests:
My goal is to master my hair to the point where it is healthy and predictable regardless of which hairstyles I decide to wear. I am on my way to new highs leaving behind the ignorance of my past "blind follower" mentality. There is so much information about our hair (black hair) that once I started reading books and checking sources I felt empowered because I've learned that hair really isn't that complicated at all. If you are having problems with your hair always remember to go to the source. There are plenty of doctors and dermatologist that study hair and guess what they function off of the same "Structure of Hair" model. Remember, hairstylist and people on Youtube are not scientists nor chemists take all information with a grain of salt. I hope my channel can inspire others to feel the confidence and pride that I feel for my hair. I love to try out different hairstyles. I'm learning how to get the best of both worlds: cute and healthy hair. Also, do what works for you. This journey is yours!
Books:
"Don't Go Shopping for Hair-Care Products Without Me" (Paula Begoun)"Grow It!" (Chicoro) Ultra Black Hair Growth II (Cathy Howse) "The Black Hair Care Revolution" (Yetunde Jude) "The Hair in Black Women" (Dr. Neil Persadsingh) "Hair Structure and Chemistry Simplified (John Halal)
