Great, well-put-together video for this song with clips from the movie, well done Muirmaiden. This song went to #1 in Feb. 1960 and stayed there for 9 weeks

Don't just listen to the lyrics in this! Several things are going on here musically and what makes this song such a winner, I think, is the ingenious blend of all of it - not to mention "Mr. Casual" DeChant at 2:40 and 3:31, who, like the song itself, is BRILLIANT.

Any wonder that this Euro-version of the video, "lip-synched" by Anglo-Dutch girl group Doris D & The Pins, far outdid the comparatively bland video done by the actual group and was popular on cable television, no doubt because of Doris D's quirky, robotic movements and facial expressions

As a big fan of instrumental versions of songs, I give a HUGE thumbs up to this one - what an incredible, infectious arrangement and I'm sure that was a big factor in helping this song pole-vault to #1 in only its second week on the chart and stay there for 13 weeks in 1998

What makes this almost-a-One-Hit Wonder tune memorable for me personally (other than a terrific arrangement) is that, back in 1976-77 when I played in a pop tunes cover band in southwestern Germany as a rhythm guitarist/vocalist, I was the one who vocally simulated that "Viking horn" sound heard ...
